Downtown Petoskey is seeking a Marketing, Communications and Promotions Director in the Downtown Office. This position offers a special opportunity for a person with experience in marketing and event planning in a community development position.
Minimum qualifications for this position include: (1) Considerable knowledge of marketing through traditional and social media platforms; (2) Knowledge of business promotions and event planning and execution; (3) Working knowledge of website and database management; (4) Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Downtown merchants, other City of Petoskey department employees, Downtown Management Board members, and the public; (5) Ability to follow written and oral instructions; (6) Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; (7) Ability to communicate with and coordinate activities of committees; (8) Associates or bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field; (9) Two years’ experience in marketing and event planning and promotion; (10) A valid Michigan driver's license is required.
