    Bay Bluffs- Emmet County Medical Care Facility is currently seeking nurses with geriatric, end of life and/or palliative care experience. Join our team as we provide our residents with exceptional care in a home like environment with compassion and dignity.  With a total team approach, we combine dedicated administration with an experienced professional staff to offer a variety of services and programs for our residents, ranging for short term rehabilitation to long-term and dementia focused care and End of Life/Hospice care. We are looking for compassionate, hardworking people to join our team of dedicated caregivers

    This Nurse/LPN will be assigned to our new End of Life/Hospice Suite area.  Current shift availability is being evaluated at this time as we allow current staff the opportunity to make this transition.

    Responsibilities
    • Complete initial and ongoing assessments to identify the physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs of residents
    • Assess residents’ conditions and chart observations, and perform evaluation tasks including vital signs and medication review
    • Administer medication as prescribed by the resident’s physician
    • Provide effective communication to residents, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals
    Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s School of Nursing, or vocational nursing
    • Current state license as an RN
    • Proof of current CPR certification 
    • Compassionate, friendly demeanor 
    • Excellent communication skills
