The City of Petoskey now has a vacancy within its Department of Public Works for a full-time Public Works Equipment Operator – Tool Crib Attendant. This position offers a special opportunity for a person having knowledge to perform safe and efficient operation of large and complex automotive, truck, and power-driven equipment along with requisitioning, storage and dispensing tools, parts and materials and performing maintenance and repair of equipment, small engines and tools in a community service position. Must also perform other related work, as might be required and directed.
City employment applications must be submitted by 5:00 P.M., Friday, February 28, 2025. Applicants will be screened based upon applicable qualifications and a small group of finalist candidates will be invited to interview before a panel of City staff members. The Director of Public Works, with approval of the City Manager, will appoint a person to this position.
