Our customers are precast concrete manufacturers located all over the world who produce the products and then supply them for projects with many different applications. Our company has several teams that provide many services to our customers including engineering support and design/construction resources, marketing, and business development.
Our engineering team is looking for a proactive and self-motivated Civil Engineer to help us continue being leaders in the retaining wall and hardscaping industry. You will support engineers and contractors around the world who are using Aster Brands products in the design of retaining walls, hardscapes, and light pole bases. They have questions, and you are the expert that can provide answers. You’ll also help expand and improve our engineering design and construction resources by developing support material like design manuals, installation guides, wall analysis software tutorials, and much more.

Must be proficient in:
? Understanding of the construction industry and the general roles and responsibilities of the engineers, contractors, and material suppliers.
? Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
? Customer interfacing
? Proactive problem solving and attention to detail.
? Understanding of the basic principles of geotechnical engineering including mechanics, shallow foundations, and slope stability.
? Basic principles of retaining wall analysis, design, and construction
? Using analysis software for the analysis of retaining structures (i.e. SRWall, MSEW, or similar)
? Strong AutoCAD skills
? Technical data analysis, interpretation, and creation of summary reports
Position responsibilities include:
? Technical and project support for multiple products
? Assist manufacturer’s sales teams in understanding the construction industry and the general roles and responsibilities of those involved in the projects they are pursuing.
? Train engineers to use our software for retaining wall analysis and layout.
? Marketing and sales support
? Travel to visit customers for technical training, conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings.
? Technical presentations to different audiences including precast manufacturers, contractors, engineers, project owners, etc.
? Assist with the development/review of engineering design and construction resources such as:
? Technical manuals
? Design guides
? Construction details
? Product specifications
? Project case studies
Required Education/Experience
? 4-year degree in Civil Engineering. Focus on Geotechnical, Structural, or General Civil is preferred but not required.
? 2-10 years’ work experience in related field.
? Professional Engineering license preferred, however not required.
