War, Influenza and Prohibition, Oh My!
In this presentation, a follow up to the lecture "Waganakising to Harbor Springs," Harbor Springs Area Historical Society curator Beth Wemigwase will highlight the local impact of societal upheavals between WWI and the 1960s. The talk will include rare photographs and archival material from the society's collection and focus on topics including WWI, the outbreak of Spanish Influenza, Prohibition and local cabarets, WWII and the building boom that took place near the turn of the century and gave Harbor Springs some of the iconic buildings that still stand today.
